Claire Elizabeth Foy is best known for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in the biographical drama series on Netflix, The Crown. With this role, the British actress garnered new fame and success, earning various awards and accolades. Foy started her acting career in theatre and made her screen debut with the supernatural comedy series Being Human in 2008. Such is her acting prowess that Foy has killed it on stage as well on screen. Though the 38-year-old has done more series, there are some of the best must-watch movies of Claire Elizabeth Foy.

Season of the Witch

This 2011 supernatural action-adventure film stars actors, Nicolas Cage, and Ron Perlman, besides Claire Foy. The plot of the film is set in the 13th century and revolves around Cage and Perlman, portraying the role of Teutonic Knights who have returned from the Crusades. Upon return they find their homeland being devastated by the Black Death. In a turn of events, they are informed that a young woman, played by Claire Foy, of being a witch and held her responsible for the plague. Upon knowing the cause, the two knights plan to transport the witch to a distant monastery in order to get her curse removed.

The Lady in the Van

This 2015 British comedy-drama film stars actors Maggie Smith and Alex Jennings in the lead role. The film is based on the memoir of the same name that was created by Alan Bennett. It is a play, and the story is a narration from Bennett telling a true story of his interactions with Mary Shepherd, played by Smith, an elderly woman who lived in a dilapidated van on his driveway in London for 15 years. Interestingly, Smith has previously portrayed the character of Shepherd twice: in the 1999 stage play earning and in the 2009 radio adaptation.

The Girl in the Spider's Web

This 2018 action-thriller film is based on the 2015 novel of the same name by David Lagercrantz. And the book is in turn based on characters from the Millennium book series by Stieg Larsson. In fact, the film is said to be a soft reboot or a sequel to David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. The film has Claire Foy in the role of LisbethSalander. The film revolves around Salander who has the battle to fight against a mysterious organisation, the Spiders.
