Actress and filmmaker Olivia Wilde is well known for her role of Remy "Thirteen" Hadley on the medical drama television series House. She subsequently took to the big screen with films like Tron: Legacy and Cowboys & Aliens among others, creating a legacy of her own. Wilde has carved a niche for herself in entertainment from her earlier roles such as Alex on The O.C. and Remy on House to conquering the silver screen as a mainstream actress, producer, and director. Let us take a look at a few of her films that we must watch.

People Like Us This 2012 drama film directed by Alex Kurtzman stars Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Olivia Wilde, Michael Hall D'Addario, and Michelle Pfeiffer. This is a melodramatic based-on-true-events drama film that follows the life story of a salesman Sam Harper, played by Pine, who is forced to return home after his father passes away. The film takes a turn when Harper learns that he has an estranged sister and that is when the real journey of emotions takes place. Interestingly, A. R. Rahman has composed the soundtrack.

The Longest Week This 2014 comedy-drama written and directed by Peter Glanz, stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde, and Billy Crudup in the lead. Aimlessly Conrad Valmont, played by Jason Bateman, lives a life of leisure in his parents’ prestigious Manhattan hotel. However, the story takes a turn and within the span of one week, Valmont finds himself disinherited, and in love.

Drinking Buddies This 2013 indie comedy-drama stars Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick, and Ron Livingston alongside Olivia Wilde. The story of the film revolves around two co-workers at a craft brewery in Chicago. As per the story Kate, played by Wilde, is the only female employee at a beer brewery in Chicago and is in a complicated relationship with her co-worker and best friend, Luke, played by Jake Johnson. Kate is impulsive and refuses to grow up.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone This 2013 comedy film is based on a story by Chad Kultgen and Tyler Mitchell, and Daley and Goldstein. The film follows the story of Las Vegas magician Burt Wonderstone, played by Steve Carell, he attempts to reunite with his former partner Anton Marvelton, played by Steve Buscemi and the two get together to take on the dangerous street magician Steve Gray, played by Jim Carrey.

Olivia Wild recently turned director with the film Booksmart in 2019 for which she won the coveted Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. A few others of her films are Butter and The Lazarus Effect.
