Things to Know About Taal, MG Motor's Musical Initiative

To promote indie musicians of the country, Morris Garage Motor India recently launched a musical initiative by the name ‘Taal’(Rhythm)

Morris Garage (MG) Motor recently launched a musical initiative by the name ‘Taal’ to promote indie musicians of the country. Given the fact that India is the land of brilliant musicians and several music genres, MG Motor feels their new initiative will not just help musicians grow but also help the company to get closer to the Indian consumer base.

Why is this article relevant?

India is a country full of talent, but most individuals do not get a chance to showcase their talent. Lack of resources and nurturing of the talent at the grass-root level is never given much importance. Therefore, one of the largest automobile makers in the world trying to promote musicians in the country is newsworthy.

Restructuring the music journey of rookie musicians

Apart from launching the new initiative, MG Motor is trying to restructure the musical journey of rookie musicians in its own style. The company has been working with several musicians to create a sonic identity for the brand. Not to forget, in the upcoming future, cars from the company will feature in-built indie music videos in the attached touchscreen panels.

Chance to an independent artist and collaboration

In the first season, MG Motor will work with Swati Patel, the lead vocalist of an independent Gujrat-based music band named The Tapi Project. Commenting on the unique initiative by MG, Swati said, “It is heartening to see the commitment of MG to bring indie music to centre stage. We are excited to be part of MG Taal and hope to contribute to this campaign positively.”

Official statement from MG Motor

MG Motor India’s Chief Commercial Office Gaurav Gupta said, “At MG Motor, we are always seeking ways to offer unique experiences to our customers and enthusiasts. Music has always been a great way to connect with people, celebrate our brand, and encourage talented musicians to make memorable music.”

Cars from MG and the company’s future target

At present, India has four ICE cars from MG such as Astor, Gloster, Hector and Hector Plus. The Astor is the cheapest one, whereas the Gloster is the costliest offering. Apart from the four ICE cars, MG also has an electric car named MG ZS EV. Last but not the least, MG hopes to launch its second electric car in the country by 2023.
