Through our happiness and some disappointment with the finale, we still discover many new things about the finale of The Game of Thrones.

It has been quite some time since the finale of the series The Game of Thrones but we still can’t help, but talk about some new details that we have noticed.

It took eight seasons to wrap the engrossing tale of Essos and Westeros, and even after such a long time, we still are inquisitive about many details. So, we have gathered some things that we learnt after the finale of the series. Spoiler alert for those who are watching the series or haven’t watched it yet.

The makers revealed the King of the Iron Throne in the first season’s promotional poster.

The series started in 2011 narrated the story of the struggle between the seven kingdoms to have control over the Iron Throne. We all pulled our hair out of the roots and kept guessing the true contender of the Iron Throne. But we realized recently that the answer was there all along. The maker very smartly answered the burning question in a promotional poster in season 1. The poster had Ned Stark sitting on the Iron Throne, but if you look closely, you would see a raven sitting on the right of the throne, which we know today is Bran Stark, the three-eyed raven.

Daenerys Targaryen didn’t think of destroying and killing many innocent civilians of King’s landing; her decision was quite spontaneous.

One of the darkest and important episodes of the show would definitely be “The Bells”. When even after hearing the signal for surrender from Lannister’s, she still burns King’s landing killing many innocent civilians. While many people believe that she wanted to win the city this way from the very start, showrunners D.B Weiss and David Benioff say that her decision was quite spontaneous. Her hunger for destruction was ignited when she saw the Red Keep reminding her of her Targaryen ancestors.

Drogon was not necessarily trying to burn down the Iron Throne. It was just in the way!

After Jon Snow kills Daenerys, Drogon comes and burns the Iron Throne. We, as an audience, are moved by the scene by seeing him destroy the thing that took his mother away. But according to the script, Drogon does not target the Iron Throne. Instead, he wants to express his anger on something, and the Iron Throne is standing in the way.
