It could be that your regular hair care routine is not really helping you grow out your hair. In any case, there are certain mistakes you must most definitely avoid to help your hair grow out quicker. Here are some of the mistakes you must avoid if you are trying to grow out your hair.

Don’t Apply Too Much Heat

Using hot tools regularly on your hair damages it to say the least. Chemical treatments and blow drying or styling your hair on a regular basis will cause in the weakening of your hair strands. As a result your hair will break easily and it would be a tedious task to grow out your hair into longer lengths. Moreover, applying too much heat on your hair takes away the moisture and the nutrition from your hair roots thereby making it dry and damaged delaying the process of the hair growth. You can use the heating tools once in a blue moon. However, when you are using it, don’t go short on the heat protecting serum.

Avoid Washing Hair Daily

It is a good idea to invest in a shower cap if you are planning to grow your hair. Washing your hair daily is bad for the hair health and would delay the process of hair growth. It is true that washing the hair gets rid of the built up grime and dirt but washing your hair daily takes away the natural oils and moisture of your hair making it dry and more prone to breakage. As a result, it will be a long time before you finally see your hair grown out.

Avoid Eating Fast Food

What you put inside your body shows on your skin and hair. Skip out on the unhealthy junk food while you are trying to grow your hair. Replace it with protein rich food, vegetables, fruits and other foods that have high content of zinc and biotin.
