Jim says goodbye to Michael

Michael leaving Dunder Mifflin was a real tearjerker and Jim knew Michael was leaving early and that he would not return the next day as Michael had promised. So Jim says his goodbye right there telling Michael is the best boss ever. When Jim (John Krasinski) acts in the scene and tells goodbye to Michael (Steve Carell), the actors broke down multiple times and the scene took a while to complete.

Michael proposes to Holly

Michael has had many girlfriends and even though it came close with Holly previously, it was many seasons later that Holly returned to the office. Holly is perfect for Michael and watching Michael finally get the happy ending left many bawling out loud.

Erin looks up to Michael as a father figure

Erin wants Michael to approve of her boyfriend Gabe, which Michael obviously delays. When Michaels asks why does his approval mean so much, there is a moment of realization. Growing up in foster homes, Erin never had a family. Michael was close to the parental figure Erin has.

Pam goes to say goodbye to Michael at the airport

Michael takes off his mic and walks off in the airport. We see Pam running behind him and the two says goodbye. Even though we cannot hear anything, the scene hit us hard.

Michael shows up at Dwight’s wedding

Michael had left long ago. Jim tells Dwight he can’t be his best man and Michael enters with his iconic “That’s what she said”. Trust us, we were as moved as Dwight was. If you didn’t cry a little seeing Michael’s familiar face, you are made of stone.

Angela breaks down and says she loves Dwight

As a mean hearted woman Angela is, the scene where she breaks down in front of Oscar and admits she loves Dwight. Showing emotions is not something Angela does often so her break down moved even those who avidly hated her.

Michael shows up at Pam’s art show

Michael rushes in just in time when Pam was taking down her unsold paintings. No one from the office showed up, not even Jim. But here comes Michael, with his child-like wonder admiring Pam’s art. Michael ends up buying the painting of their office building which made Pam hug Michael.
