Tips and ways for students preparing for entrance exams

Let us make life easy and study fun

As soon as students reach the 10th standard, the race to start with the coaching for entrance exams begins. Students take three of those three years, from 10th to the 12th standard to prepare for the entrance exam, while studying their course books on the side to qualify for the boards. Though the study material for both, school and entrance is quite similar, it is the efforts of studying for two that drains the energy out of the kids. There are entrance exams for engineering, medical, fashion, and more. So here are some tips on preparing for the entrance exam without losing oneself.

It is crucial for exam preparation that the student always follows a consistent routine. A routine is a key to success. A routine helps bring the mind back on track to the schedule ahead. A routine is always goal-oriented which makes navigation through the journey easy and enhances performance.

Second, chart out a timetable that suits your needs at the same time allowing enough time to study for both, schools as well as time for extra studies for the entrance exams.

Two to three months prior to the entrance exam, allot time only for revision of important topics. This time period before the big day is crucial and should be dedicated completely to self-studies for about eight hours a day.

Self-assign study time is a priority. After the boards are over the time gap till the entrance exam can distract the time. So it is important that students set aside at least five-six hours of self-study time. This amount of time is sufficient for aspirants to secure a rank in these entrance exams.

For students aspiring to professional courses such as engineering or medical, it is ideal that they join a coaching center for better understanding, quality analysis, and conceptional knowledge.

Do a thorough reading and studying of the course books as well as of extra study materials and question papers from the last year.

Most importantly, students are urged to not make their lives monotonous in the lure of studying all day in and out. While studying is the soul to secure the highest rank and the best college, it is equally important to rest the mind at proper intervals. Engage in hobbies or activities that excite you and take your mind off your studies.

Focus on quality studying than quantity study.
