Top Indian Motorcycles With Double Barrel Silencers

The exhaust note of almost every motorcycle is soothing to our ears. However, the music generated by a double-barrel silencer is slightly more special

In India, not merely the performance and mileage but the design language of a motorcycle largely determines the sales figures of that motorcycle. Apart from the mentioned factors, another element also makes or breaks a motorcycle in India, i.e., its sound.

Young riders and hardcore motorcycle enthusiasts crave motorcycles with sweet exhaust notes. Therefore, in the following paragraphs, we have listed the top Indian motorcycles with brilliant notes produced by double-barrel silencers.

RE Interceptor and GT

In terms of engine, performance figures, mileage and hardware, both the motorcycles are identical to each. However, the two motorcycles feature different design languages. Moving on to the exhaust note, both the motorcycles are armed with the same chrome-painted slightly upswept double-barrel silencers because of which they make a similar throaty growl.

Bajaj Dominar 400

One of the best affordable sports touring motorcycles in the market, the Bajaj Dominar 400 at INR 2.84 lakh on-road Kolkata, is also one of the sweet-sounding double-barrel silencer motorcycles in India. Unlike the Interceptor and GT, the exhaust note of the Dominar 400 is not loud, but it still churns out a grumpy grunt. Not to forget, in the 400cc motorcycle segment, it is one of the fastest in our nation.

Suzuki Gixxer 250 and SF 250

In the 250cc fully faired and naked streetfighter segment, the Gixxer 250 and SF 250 are two highly underrated motorcycles. Both the motorcycles feature a twin-port barrel silencer which produces a raspy noise. While most people in India prefer a beefy exhaust note, in our opinion, the raspy note of the Gixxer 250 and SF 250 is extremely soothing. In terms of pricing, the SF is sold at INR 2.10 lakh on-road Kolkata, whereas the Gixxer is 250 at INR 1.96 lakh.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

From Hosur-based scooter and motorcycle manufacturer TVS, the Apache RTR 200 4V at INR 1.42 lakh on-road Kolkata is a naked streetfighter motorcycle that sells like a hot cake in our country. Since 2016, the Apache has set a new benchmark in the 200cc category with too many electronic aids and first-in-class features. Moving on to its exhaust note, a huge number of people in India are a fan of the RTR 200 4V’s harsh melody.
