Top Motorcycles From Thailand That We Wish to See in India

The Thai automobile industry may not be a massive one in the world but it offers some motorcycles which are loved and wanted by the Indian automobile enthusiasts

The Indian automobile industry has grown into one of the biggest automobile industries in the world. The motorcycle sector has no dearth of motorcycles from various companies. However, certain motorcycle models are not sold in the country. For this reason, many Indian automobile enthusiasts envy the Thai motorcycle industry. Why? Because The Thai automobile industry may not be a massive one in the world but it offers some motorcycles which are loved and wanted by many Indian automobile enthusiasts.

In this feature, we have compiled a list of some hot motorcycles from Thailand that Indian riders wish to see and ride in India.

Honda motorcycles- There are numerous models from Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda that are found in Thailand but not in India. Some of those models are the Honda CB150R, Rebel 300, MSX125SF, and CRF250RALLY. Instead of the CB150R, India has the Hornet whereas, in the cruiser segment, it received the scaled-down not-so-good H’ness CB350. Moving on to the off-road segment, unlike Thailand’s 250RALLY; the Indian market has no model on offer from Honda in the 250cc category. Not to forget, the CBR250RR is also not available in the Indian market.

Yamaha XSR155- In the 155cc neo-retro segment, the XSR155 is one the best-looking small performance-oriented motorcycle. Powered by a 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the XSR makes 19.03hp of power and 14.7Nm of torque. The Indian market received the FZ-X 150, which is also a neo-retro looking motorcycle. However, the FZ-X is nowhere close to the XSR in terms of styling, performance and features. Not to forget, some other models from Yamaha such as the W250 and SR400 are also wanted in India.

Suzuki VanVan 200- The perfectly balanced retro-looking scrambler in the 200cc category is a motorcycle almost every rider wishes to see in India. With fat off-road tyres and a ground clearance of 200mm, this motorcycle has a craze among Indian riders. Although the VanVan 200 only produces 15.7hp of power and 15Nm of torque, its 128 kilograms of weight make it a quick ride that is easy to manoeuvre.

With the Suzuki VanVan, our list comes to an end. However, there are many more motorcycles that we wish to see in the Indian market. The Thai motorcycle industry may not be as big as the Indian industry but it surely offers much more variety in the 100cc-400cc category.
