Mr. India without a doubt is a milestone in the career of Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor played the role of Arun, who lives with orphaned children and who is harassed by gangsters who are after his house. He gets a device that has the power of making him invisible and the rest of the story follows how he fights and defeats the bad man led by Mogambo, an evil dictator (AmrishPuri) who dreams of ruling India. Sridevi was the female lead opposite Anil Kapoor in the movie.

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

Anil Kapoor played an important role in the Hollywood movie, Slumdog Millionaire directed by Danny Boyle which won eight Academy Awards including the best picture.  

Slumdog Millionaire was an extensively acclaimed movie being praised for its story, performances, music, and direction. Directed by Danny Boyle, this movie was nominated for ten Academy Awards in 2009 and won eight—the highest for any movie that year including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay. It also won seven BAFTA Awards including Best Film, five Critics’ Choice Awards, and four Golden Globes. Anil Kapoor played the role of a game host in the film and his performance was quite applauded.

Nayak: The Real Hero (2001)

Nayak: The Real Hero must be one of the most popular movies of Anil Kapoor though it was not a box office hit when released but now it’s regarded as a cult movie.

A political thriller movie, Nayak is considered as one of the best movies by Anil Kapoor. It had Rani Mukherjee opposite him in the lead. It was not a hit mainly because of the poor marketing but later it became one of the most watched movies ever on television. It was directed by Shankar and was a remake of his own Tamil block-buster Mudhalvan in which Anil Kapoor shows what one can accomplish as a Chief Minister in one day if he really wants. The movie also featured AmrishPuri, PareshRawal, Jhony Lever, and SaurabhShukla in supporting roles.
