Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo collectively known as Russo Brothers are one of the most successful directors of Hollywood.

Known mostly because of their Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, the Russo Brothers – Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo – are regarded as commercially most successful directors only behind Steven Spielberg. Their movie Avengers: Endgame is the second highest grossing movie ever after James Cameroon’s Avatar. Here is a list of top movies directed by Russo Brothers to binge watch.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the second movie of Captain America trilogy movies and with this movie; Russo Brothers marked their debut as directors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) 

Apart from the MCU movie Iron Man 1 which released in 2010 most of the other MCU movies doing good business worldwide, were not critics favourite. Movies like The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Two Thor movies and the first Captain America movie were not critically acclaimed despite being huge box office successes but the things changed when Marvel hired the Russo Brothers to direct the second movie of the Captain America trilogy, Captain America:The Winter Soldier which critics loved and till then regarded as the best MCU movie and it changed the tide for MCU  movies which along with making money, started getting good reviews also from the critics.

You, Me and Dupree 

Before entering the MCU, the Russo Brothers already had a good movie in their filmography which was the 2006 movie You,Me and Dupree, a romantic movie featuring Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson.

You, Me and Dupree was the second directorial movie of the Russo Brothers which was a light hearted romantic comedy movie that follows the life of  Randy Dupree played Owen Wilson who was at the peak of his career then He had to because of some situations needed to move in with his friends’ place and rapidly becomes a annoyance to their romantic life. Matt Dillon as Carl Peterson  and Kate Hudson as Molley Person  star opposite Wilson. The movie got underwhelming response from the critics but did quite well at the box office

Captain America: Civil War

Many regard Captain America:Civil War as the best movie of MCU though it’s debatable but there is no doubt that it’s one of the best movies of Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The last Avengers movie Avengers: The Age of Ultron despite being a huge success was not critics’ favourite and rightfully so as it can be considered as the weakest Avenger movie among four Avengers movies. After that came the Russo Brothers directed Captain America:Civil War which was partially based on the Marvel comic series of the same name. The movie introduced us to the characters of Spider-Man and Black Panther. Despite being a Captain America movie, it featured almost all major characters of the MCU. By now Russo Brothers became the most successful director in the whole MCU franchise.
