Samuel L Jackson is famous among the new generation of moviegoers for playing the character of Nick Fury, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies but he has given memorable performances in many movies before also.   1. Pulp Fiction (1994)

Samual L. Jackson collaborated with Quentin Tarantino, who is regarded as one of the most iconic directors of Hollywood with the cult classic movie Pulp Fiction where he nailed the character of Jules Winnfield.

Samuel L. Jackson has been a regular in Quentin Tarantino’s movies barring a few. Tarantino after his hugely successful directorial debut movie, Reservoir Dogs made his second movie Pulp Fiction. Regarded as one of the greatest movies ever made in Hollywood, Pulp Fiction had an ensemble cast and Samual L. Jackson played the character of a hit-man Jules in the movie who goes for redemption by the end of the movie. Jackson’s performance in the movie is regarded as one of his best and most iconic ever.

Unbreakable directed by MNight Shyamalan was released in 2000 where Samual L. Jackson played the character of disabled but cunning Elijah Price.

Unbreakable was the first in a trilogy of films, the two others being Glass and Split which would later be referred to as the Unbreakable trilogy. Unbreakable tells the story of David (Bruce Willis), the sole survivor of a train crash who discovers his superhuman abilities after he survives the crash without a single scratch on his body. He meets Elijah Price, played by Samual L. Jackson, a disabled comic book store owner who manipulates David to understand him. Unbreakable gives Jackson his acting abilities and Jackson nailed the character of Elijah Price. 

3. Changing Lanes (2002)

Changing Lanes is a 2002 thriller drama movie where Samual L. Jackson gave a very good performance as Doyle Gipson, an insurance salesman and recovering alcoholic with anger management issues. 

Changing Lanes featured Samual L. Jackson and Ben Affleck and it was directed by Roger Michell. Jackson plays the role of Doyle Gipson, who is trying to get custody of his children after his wife wants to move across the country. He had his issues like being an alcoholic and he is trying to stay sober and one day his life collides with a young Wall Street lawyer played by Ben Affleck and it changes the lives of both. The movie was a roller coaster ride and Jackson’s performance in the movie was lauded by both critics and the audiences.
