Dhadkan

Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty worked in many movies together and gave many hit movies. They appeared together in the 2000 drama movie Dhadkan where Shilpa Shetty played the female lead.

Dhadkan was directed by Dharmesh Darshan and it was one of the biggest hits of the year 2000. Suniel Shetty played the role of Dev, a poor, jobless guy who is in a romantic relationship with Anjali (Shilpa Shetty). But her parents are against the marriage and get Anjali married to Ram played by Akshay Kumar. At first, she ignores him but falls in love with him after realizing that Ram is a very good human being and loves her unconditionally. When it seems that everything is getting good in her life, Dev comes back, who is a multimillionaire now and can take any measures to get Anjali back and destroy Ram. The movie was a commercial success and it fetched Sunil Shetty his Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Negative role.

Balwaan

Balwaan was the debut movie of Suniel Shetty and it features Divya Bharti as the female lead. He impressed everyone with his action and screen presence.

Balwaan is a 1992 movie directed by Deepak Anand and it marked the debut of Suniel Shetty in Bollywood. Divya Bharti was the female lead and Danny Denzongpa was the main antagonist in the movie. Balwaan did decent business at the box office but the actor made a mark with his action in the movie and became one of the best action heroes in the 90s.

Gopi Kishan

Gopi Kishan had Suniel Shetty in a double role for the first time and was a commercial success when it was released in 1994. 

Gopi Kishan was a comedy action movie featuring Sunil Shetty in a double role while Karishma Kapoor and Shilpa Shirodkar played the female leads. It was the first time that Sunil Shetty tried his hand at comedy with the character of Gopi who is a cop but is a little bit dumb and always gets trolled for his incapability as a policeman. Kishan is the twin brother of Gopi who got separated when they were kids and is just out of jail. He is mistaken as Gopi by many and he uses it to his advantage to fight against villains. It was a commercial success at the box office and he got lots of appreciation for his acting in the movie.

Kaante

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaante was an unofficial remake of Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. 

Kaante had an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lucky Ali and Kumar Gaurav. It was directed by Sanjay Gupta and was heavily inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s cult movie Reservoir Dogs. Sunil Shetty played the role of Mac, a bouncer at a nightclub where his girlfriend is a dancer. He needs money to have a good life with his girlfriend and he and five other guys plan to rob a bank but things get nasty when they realize that there is a mole among them.
