He started as a model, and then with his talent as a dancer also luck being on his side ShahidKapoor shone as a chorus dancer for years in Bollywood. Only to one day emerge as an actor with infinite potential. Whether it is an emotionally draining character, a romantic chocolate boy, an obedient son, or a drunken narcissist lover, ShahidKapoor plays every role with finesse. There is a long list of films of ShahidKapoor to look out for, but here is a list for a quick watch.

Haider

This crime drama by ace director Vishal Bhardwaj stars ShahidKapoor and Tabu in the lead roles showing the growing conflict in Kashmir and related issues. In all totality, Haider is touted to be a modern-day adaptation of William Shakespeare's Hamlet and based on author Basharat Peer's memoir Curfewed Night. However, while the film's subject is politically based, it is the award-winning performance by ShahidKapoor that steals the show. Kapoor’s hard work is visible in his acting as he does full justice to the role as if it was written mainly for him.

Kaminey

This 2009 film shows ShahidKapoor in a double role, Charlie and Guddu. While Charlie lisps, Guddu stutters – and believe it or not, he performed both the roles with finesse. As for the two characters, Guddu is honest, whereas Charlie is addicted to taking shortcuts to fulfil his dreams. And as the story would have it, they both cross paths, despite their liking, only to get involved deep down in each other's lives.

Jab We Met

Suppose there is any movie of ShahidKapoor that made him a household name and a heartthrob among girls, Jab We Met. AdityaKashyap, the heir of a business tycoon who is sad and suicidal due to a family issue, leaves out aimlessly on a trip. On this trip, Aditya meets Geet, played by KareenaKapoor Khan, a free-spirited motor mouth girl. A romantic comedy-drama saw both Shahid and Kareena in their acting best.

Udta Punjab

Another of ShahidKapoor's award-winning performances saw the actor essaying the role of a cocaine addict Punjabi singer who goes through a journey of awakening. This character of Shahid comes with a multitude of layers, and Shahid as an actor does justice to each one of them.

His films are Kabir Singh, Padmaavat, Vivah, ChupChupKe, IshqVishk, BattiGul Meter Chalu, Badmaash Company, and Rangoon, among others.
