Amid the Coronavirus pandemic, everyone is advised to practice social distancing and people have ample time on hand to explore the web space. From films to web shows, the OTT platforms have a lot to offer in terms of content. However, if you do not have enough time or you haven’t invested in a subscription of any OTT platforms, we bring to you a list of some great Indian short films available on YouTube to watch. Chutney

This short film has been produced by Tisca Chopra and she also features in it. It revolves around the life of a Ghaziabad-based woman who is caught up because a younger woman is trying to woo her husband. You will love Tisca for bringing different layers to her character and this one is definitely a watch.

The School Bag

Starring Rasika Duggal and Sartaaj RK, the film focuses on a mother who goes to every extent her son’s wish. Set against the backdrop of India-Pakistan animosity, it is directed by Dheeraj Jindal and the audience has loved it extensively, especially in the festival circuit.

This one features Manoj Bajpayee and Radhika Apte, who are known for their craft. The psychological thriller features Manoj as a man who is in love with his girlfriend. However, his psychiatrist finds out that it is just his imagination and that’s when things take a dark turn.

Khujli 

Featuring Jackie Shroff and Neena Gupta, this short film on YouTube is created by Terribly Tiny Tales. It follows the story of a who father finds an adult toy in his child’s room. It also got the award for Best Short Film at the 2018 Filmfare awards.

Nitishastra

The short film has Taapsee Pannu playing a self-defence instructor, who aims to train girls so that they can protect themselves. Albeit, her life takes a downward turn when she gets to know that her brother has committed a crime against a woman. This one is based on the lessons of Mahabharata and is a must-watch.
