The men’s football in America is still in a nascent stage, but the country has produced some quality professionals who are brushing a mark in Europe

While most of the countries in the world are a great admirer of football, the U.S.A is not one of them. The country prefers to enjoy other sports such as basketball, baseball, and American football (rugby). While the country has seen considerable evolution in women’s football as the feminine side has earned four football World Cups to date, the men’s squad has failed to generate a jolt. Even female players from the U.S such as Megan Rapinoe has achieved the Ballon d’Or Féminin whereas the male counterpart has been dictated by Messi (Argentina) or Ronaldo (Portugal).

However, some male players have newly ascended to glory with their talent. We cannot call them the finest, but they are unquestionably stronger than what the world of football has seen so far. Most importantly, these players have been able to enter European football clubs, which is a powerful accomplishment.

In football, Christian Pulisic is a familiar name as the player has spent a significant amount with German club Borussia Dortmund where he won the DFB-Pokal. In 2018, the American player joined English club Chelsea and became an instant hit.

Tyler Adams

Tyler Adams is a player who can play at multiple positions such as a fullback or in the midfield. The player was a part of the New York Red Bulls academy and later joined the German club, RB Leipzig. In the 2019/20 season, Adams appeared for 24 times.

Josh Sargent has had the opportunity to see the dressing room of two German clubs. While he trained with Schalke 04, his professional stint began with Werder Bremen. Even though he is young, his European experience gained him a ticket to the U.S senior national football team in 2018.

DeAndre Yedlin is another U.S player who has been able to play in the Premier League. After having a stint with Seattle Sounders F.C, the player secured a move to English club Tottenham. He was a loanee with club Sunderland and later on signed a contract with Newcastle United.

Although his father George Weah is the President of Liberia, Timothy Weah with a U.S citizenship is a part of French club Lille. He is a product of the French giant PSG but failed to be on the first team due to a star-studded line-up.
