Shimit Amin - Shimit Amin is a wonderful filmmaker who has made wonderful films in Hindi like Chak De India and Rocketsingh : salesman of the year. Shimit Amin started his career in 2000s and worked as an assistant director in few films before making his own movie. It was the brilliantly made Chak De India which established him as a filmmaker in the Hindi cinema. Needless to say, Shimit gave Shah Rukh Khan one of the best roles of his films which was absolutely nailed by the actor. His second film, Rocketsingh too recieved positive reviews but Shimit has distant himself from the film industry since then.
Nandita Das - Nandita Das is an actor turned director who is well known to her realistic on screen performances. Nandita Das gained praise for her unorthodox choices like Fire & Earth but the actress soon wore the hate of a filmmaker and made her debut with Firaaq. The 2008 movie Firaaq was inspired by riots and bombing happened in India and was a emotional rollercoaster. After a hiatus of many years, she came back to direction with Manto, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. After making two critically acclaimed movies in Bollywood, Nandita is not active in the showbiz but fans wish her to come back to filmmaking.
Farhan Akhtar - Farhan Akhtar is a well-known director and actor. He is not an underrated filmmaker as there are many who like him and appreciates his art but since Farhan has turned into a proper actor, he has not worked actively as a filmmaker. We know how much fans want Farhan Akhtar to make Don 3 with Shah Rukh Khan but the former is busy with his acting projects. Farhan is considered as a new age filmmaker who has made films like DilChahta Hai, Don series and Lakshya.
ReemaKagti - ReemaKagti runs a production house called Tiger Baby and she has produced some great films like Gully Boy in recent times. However, fans believe that her talent lies in filmmaking as the actor has created movies like Talash and shows like Made In Heaven.
