Unhealthy habits, according to science, you must break immediately
A productivity routine is one in which you maintain a peak energy level to meet your day-to-day tasks. And to attain it, you need to let go of the unhealthy habits that drain you emotionally or physically. Here are the habits you need to quit immediately.
Concentrating on the Negatives
Focusing on negatives and criticizing is easy, but it does not inspire nor empower us in any situation. Even in a stressful situation, there is something that is working in your favour. So, for every challenge, identify three things that are positive. If you continuously try to do this, you will start seeing positives and not negatives.
Stress eating is not always the best thing to do.
Many times, when someone feels unhappy, stressed, restless or disillusioned, they end up overeating. It’s not the turmoil that makes one hungry, but one uses food to fill the emotional void. Healthy eating habits and relationships help you come out of this bad and unhealthy habit of using food as a tool.
Spending time with cynics can play havoc with your mind.
Lose a friend who plays devil’s advocate to every goal you have or idea you want to explore. It’s best to be your own greatest critic and hang less with people who tear down everything you say. It makes much more sense to be around people who offer constructive feedback and appreciate you as a person.
Going to bed with a smartphone is the worst thing you can do to your goodnight sleep.
After a day’s hard work, your body seeks rest. But the smartphone light interferes with your body’s normal processes; its melatonin making process is delayed; hence, you can fall asleep. All of affects your mood, metabolism and appetite too. The solution set the mobile screen to a warmer tone and keep it aside before going to bed.
Not drinking enough wateris not a good idea.
We often forget that we are 60% water. Staying hydrated keeps your mood stable, motivation levels at peak and memory sharp. Drinking 10-12 cups of water in a day keeps your body cool, skin supple and toxin levels in control.
Even simple habits like eating late at night and leaving things to the last minute can drag you down from being the best version of yourself.
