A career in law is not an easy one. It is one of the most prestigious professions in India as the country has the second-largest population of lawyers in the world. The constitution of India is so vast, and topping it is the changing socio-economic dynamics that require people from the law. While the profession of a lawyer gives one a sense of responsibility towards the nation and the people, it also requires a lot of patience. With passing time, the profession of lawyer is gaining importance and a huge space has been created for it. But there are various verticals of being a lawyer that can be followed as per desire.

Corporate Lawyer

The role of a corporate lawyer is to help the companies in aligning and complying with the rules and regulations of the said industry. The job of a corporate lawyer also comprises assisting the client with the legal processes involved in the formation of the company or the client. The lawyer dealing with the legalities of the company will also be responsible for its formation and management of it. The job of the corporate lawyer also includes advising and recommending the client in claiming liability and business transactions. The lawyer would be required to represent the client in court during a trial, besides reviewing and submitting legal documents.

Bankruptcy Paralegal

These law professionals aid in extending paralegal support to lawyers who are representing creditors or debtors in bankruptcy proceedings. The job of a bankruptcy paralegal comprises obtaining credit reports, interviewing clients, and preparing documents. Their job also involves offering clients advice on their financial situation, in case of filing for bankruptcy. This information involves right from informing them about what kind of bankruptcy is beneficial and helps in filing for bankruptcy.

Criminal Lawyer

As the name suggests, a criminal lawyer is responsible for representing a client in court for criminal cases. The job of a criminal lawyer is to present a strong case in favour of their client in court. A criminal lawyer works across local, High, and the Supreme court. The case has to be such that the lawyers should be putting up an affirmative argument for the client in front of a judge. A criminal lawyer would be required to question witnesses, and present and review evidence, all to make their case stronger.
