Ways You Can Use Your Old Cell Phone

Don’t just let your old cell phone sit in your drawer to gather dust or throw it in a landfill to kill the environment.

Getting a new cell phone is always exciting. But what do you do with your old one? You can always give it away or exchange it for a new product, but most of the time we just let it sit it cosy in our drawers not using them for the rest of our lives and finally, when it comes to the de-cluttering regime, we throw it away in the garbage. This harms the environment endlessly.  What you can do instead is repurpose and reuse your old smart phone that can still do so many other jobs instead of just taking texts and phone calls. Old cell phones can be incredibly handy and there are so many ways you can use them. Here are a few ways you can reuse your old cell phones.

Turn It Into An E-Book Reader

Instead of investing in the e-book readers available on the market, you can simply use your old cell phone. This way you can save your money and still have a e-book reader on your hands. If you already have a subscription with an e-book reader app, all you need to do is sync your old phone to the app and you’ll have your desired library on your phones. Moreover, this is also so much better than carrying around the bulky e-book readers that come in the size of almost a book. Using an old phone as an e-book reader is handy and hassle free.

Keep It As A Phone For Emergency Situations

You can use your old phone for emergency and 911 situations as well. You don’t need to have a SIM card to dial the emergency number. As long as your phone has power, it is good to go during emergency situations. Having a backup device just in case is always a good idea.

Use It As A Media Player

Gone are the days of portable media players1 However, you can always use your old phone as your new media player and a source of entertainment while you are on the go or out of network. This will come extremely handy especially if you are engaged in some work on your current phone and you have your old phone to keep you entertained during the time.
