Greece, what a beauty! Have you not heard people say it often that no country is as beautiful as Greece? Well, they are not lying! This Mediterranean country is known for having it all. From beaches to great history, culture and beautiful landscapes, Greece has something for everyone. It is also home to UNESCO heritage sites. So, as you can understand there are just several places to see once you land in Greece, So here we will tell all the easy ways to travel to the best places in Greece…

Buses – Like any other country, Greece too has a great bus system and many use it in order to make their travel economical. The KETL green buses can basically take you anywhere around the city without any difficulty. But the only problem is most people on these buses speak only their native language. So to ensure you get down at the correct stop, make friends with a local on the bus who can speak English. That would help you out immensely. You have to buy your ticket at the bus station before you get on the bus

Boats and ferries – One lovely thing about Greece is that you can take the water to travel around the country! In summer, ferries run regular services but in winters they might have disrupted schedules due to bad weather. You can travel between islands or to and fro from the mainland with no problem during the summer months. Some of the best known boats companies are Aegean Flying Dolphins, Aegean Speed Lines, Blue Star Ferries and Fast Ferries.

Trains – Trains do make for an enjoyable and quite beautiful ride through Greece. But before you get all excited and plan your trip by travelling around trains you may want to check which routes are still working and which are not. There is a main line which runs from Athens to Dikea in the northeast via Thessaloniki and Alexandroupoli. And there are a few other trains on other lines available too.

Cars and bikes – If all else fails, you can always rent a car or a bike. Especially if you are a fan of being on the road and exploring first hand then this is your best option. You can easily find companies that will rent you car or bikes. Just don’t forget to take a map along with you!
