If Antarctica is on your travel list, here is all you need to see

Are you a fan of intense cold? Antarctica is possibly one of the best places you can visit if you love snow!

If we had to list out all of the gorgeous untouched wilderness in the world, Antarctica is probably one of the most breathtaking ones. As far as one’s eyes would go, the country is a white wonderland with snow and flora fauna everywhere. If you are someone who keeps wondering where to go for their winter escapades, then without a doubt Antarctica should be on the top of your list. While extreme cold months are not recommended, even the summers in Antarctica are freezing enough for you to enjoy the country. Here are some of the things you absolutely need to experience while touring there…

See the whales up close

Antarctica is considered to be one of the best countries to go whale watching. Around eight species of whales can be seen in the winter months here and it is an absolute sight to behold. Go to Wilhelmina Bay and get on a zodiac boat to get a closer look at the whales and enjoy the majestic experience!

See the beauty of Lemaire Channel

As we already mentioned earlier, Antarctica is breathtaking. When in the country, do go on a trip to see the Lemaire Channel and we promise you the beauty will make you spellbound. You can get on the ships that take you for a slow ride through the channel. It will be a view that you will never be able to forget! Do not forget to take your cameras along!

Get close with the adorable penguins

If you are in Antarctica, seeing penguins is a must. You can even get closer to these adorable little animals as long as it is safe for both you and the penguins! It is an experience in itself to watch from afar these birds in their natural habitat absolutely thriving.

Visit Port Lockroy

This natural harbour located on the north-western shore of Wiencke island is a much-frequented tourist spot. The best part about this port is that it is now a historic site consisting of a post office and museum and thus you can send a postcard to your loved one from here!
