'Novak Djokovic will win more Majors than Federer, Nadal'

The most burning question in men's professional tennis is, and will remain for a while, that who among Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal will finish his career with the most Majors titles.

28-year-old Federico Coria may have not made the biggest impact on the professional tennis circuit yet but has shown a lot of promise from time to time since turning pro in 2010. In terms of Grand Slams, his best performances have come in 2020 as the player made it to the third round in the French Open and the second round in the US Open.

The Argentine tennis player reckons that Djokovic will finish with the most Major titles among the Big Three.

The most important number at the moment in men's tennis is 20, with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal equal on 20 Majors wins. Novak Djokovic, with 17 Grand Slam titles, may seem a decent way off currently but with the talent that the man possesses, it won't be a surprise if he closes the gap in just one year.

In fact, when Djokovic won his 17th Majors trophy in Melbourne last year, he was tipped to equal Federer's record of 20 Grand Slam titles with victories in Roland Garros and Wimbledon. However, due to the extent of the COVID-19 pandemic, the second Major of the season finally happened at the US Open in September.

After Djokovic set the ball rolling undefeated in 2020, he copped the first default in his career after hitting the lines-woman with the ball. The player was coming after the 35th Masters 1000 title on the same courts and had an opportunity to bag another Majors trophy, which went begging.

He bounced back in style, winning the title in Rome and reached the final of the Roland Garros but could not emerge victorious against a determined Rafael Nadal who won quite comfortably 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 and equalled Federar with 20 major titles.

That though did not prevent Coria from sticking his neck out and predicting Djokovic to finish with the most Majors title victories among the Big Three.

"Maybe because of my playing style, I look up to Novak Djokovic the most. To me, he's the maximum level of perfection you can find, and I'm sure he'll be the player with most Majors wins in the future," Federico Coria said.
