Yelagiri is a cluster of fourteen hamlets, with Athanavur being the capital town. It has a pleasant climate throughout the year, making it a perfect summer retreat for every kind of tourist. The nearest airport to Yelagiri is Bangalore International Airport. From there, the most convenient option is to take a cab, as this will take around 4-5 hours to reach your destination.

Also, the Jolarpettai Railway Junction is the nearest railway station to the hill station.

It's well-connected to several South Indian cities by road as well.

Yelagiri sees a pleasant climate throughout the year. Hence, it can be visited any time of the year. But it's advised to avoid summer when visiting here because it can be hot sometimes.

Jalagamparai Waterfalls: Jalagamparai Waterfalls is an amazing place to relax and enjoy lots of me-time. Formed from the Attaru River, this gorgeous waterfall flows through the hills and then falls from the mountain rocks. It's visually breathtaking, owing to the orchards and rose garden all around.

The water here is known to contain various medicinal properties.

Swamimalai Hills: The highest point in the entire region of Yelagiri, Swamimalai Hills offers a magnificent view of nature. It's shaped like a cake and remains filled with lush greenery. It's a top-rated trekking spot that attracts both amateurs and skilled trekkers.

It requires a 3 km trek through lush forests to reach the summit of this hill.

Besides the above-mentioned places, you can also visit Nilavoor Lake, Bappu Vainu Observatory, Amirthi Zoological Waterfalls, etc.
