Five Awesome Movies Showcasing Interesting Franchise Crossover

Whether it is a movie crafted skillfully around a sneaky character cameo or a titular battle, the outcome is always the same: an outstanding cinematic hybrid.

For decades, crossover films have been around, providing fans with the opportunity to enjoy watching their favourite franchises merge. But nothing can activate the happy hormones of a fan like a crossover of mega franchises can. Watching the lead characters from two different franchises share a screen is beyond fantastic. Here are some of the most interesting franchise crossovers of all time.

The Avengers (2012)

Many people might not strictly consider it a crossover, but this mega-event was much anticipated by the fans. The Avengers' core group united to mark the close of the final chapter of Marvel's phase one, connecting various loosely looped solo storey strands to create a cinematic masterpiece. It is the first time the mightiest superheroes on Earth united to share the spotlight.

Spider-Man: No Way Home

No Way Home has triggered all the right points of the fans with emotions, nostalgia, spot-on action, special effects, and comedy. Watching all the three Spider-Men sharing the screen was unprecedented. It justly paid homage to the Spider-Man of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield while skillfully developing the character of Tom Holland's Peter Parker.

Godzilla vs Kong

The two strongest monsters were pitted against each other in this movie, and it served the fans of both the franchises as a treat. This excellent crossover did better than the original films for its well-choreographed action scenes and its seriousness. The fans were blown away when both the monstrous creatures brought their best abilities and strengths to the table.

Alien vs Predator

This fantastic crossover featured a gripping battle between two of the most sinister and brutal aliens in the history of cinema. Talking about the plot of the film as a whole, it was not extraordinary. But the fans of both the franchises praised it for the riveting action and fighting sequence. Furthermore, the success of the movie encouraged the production of a sequel, comic books, and video games.

Star Trek VII: Generations

This crossover was meant to close the stories of some of the original Star Trek cast and pave a path for the cast of the Next Generation. The crossing over of the films is minimal until Captain James T. Kirk, played by William Shatner, enters the picture. Fans loved seeing Shatner and Patrick Stewart interact on the big screen. Only a few movies had attempted something like this at the time, and it was an absolute hit.

Very few movies can graciously do a crossover, but these films certainly did a phenomenal job, pleasing the fans in the most spectacular way possible.
