Five Cool Games Where You Get To Play From The Perspective Of Animals

If you are fond of animals and are looking for a game to play, check out these awesome games where you get to play from the perspective of animals.

Video games where you get to play as an animal are really cool. Frankly, there should be a lot more of them, because animals have got some pretty rad abilities that would make for amazing video game skills. Think of a tree frog climbing up vertical surfaces, or a dog scenting out concealed objects, or a giraffe reaching inaccessible areas with its long neck. Sounds fun, right? Here are the top five games where you get to play as an animal. Check them out!

The Sonic the Hedgehog series

You have most certainly never seen a blue hedgehog in real life, but Sonic is indeed a hedgehog and that’s all that matters to the world. He is also exceptionally fast and does that cute little curling up into a ball and rolling thing that regular hedgehogs do. Real hedgehogs can also swim, though we think Sonic might be unusual for being able to hold his breath for so long. Sonic the Hedgehog is Sega's flagship franchise and one of the bestselling video game franchises that sold over 140 million copies by 2016 and grossing over USD 6 billion as of 2020.

KeyWe

KeyWe is a cooperative postal puzzle game developed by Stonewheat & Sons. Jeff and Debra are two small kiwi birds working in a whimsical post office. As a player, your task is to work together to find creative ways to keep the mail flowing. Help Jeff and Debra jump, flap, and bump their way across an interactive landscape of levers and buttons. KeyWe took home the title of Best Family Game, during the Gamescom Best of Show ceremony.

Tokyo Jungle

Tokyo Jungle is a survival action game developed by PlayStation C.A.M.P. and Crispy's and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game takes place in a futuristic and deserted Japan, in which the city has transformed into a vicious wildlife wasteland. Don’t play as just one animal. Play as a Sika deer, Pomeranian, Tosa Inu, lions, hyenas, Beagle, and a robot dog, or go for something really off the wall in Survival mode, like a chicken or a flappy Dilophosaurus.

Kitaria Fables

Players out there looking for a blend between farming and combat à la Stardew Valley should find a lot to enjoy in Kitaria Fables. The title sees gamers taking over the role of a furry feline friend, battling their way through hordes of enemies and then returning home to craft, farm, and upgrade their way to success. The visual style of this game is reminiscent of most ARPGs and features fluid movement, beautiful animations, and colorful environments.

Stray

This is a game in which you take on the role of a stray cat intending to reunite with his family. Aside from platforming and puzzle-solving, Stray also features action-packed segments, though don’t expect to have fast-paced combat. Instead, the cat will need to run away from enemies and use the environment to defeat them.
