It is evident from the films that have been made recently that Indian film industry is going through huge changes. It is the time first time when all the four South Indian film industries and the Hindi film industry are making pan India movies. They are combining their artists and are trying to give tough competition to the filmmakers worldwide. The way Indian film industry is functioning, it is assumable that they can make world class cinema in low budget.

Indian film industry is going through some rapid changes. From themes to treatment of the content, the industry has raised the standard and is making some serious cinema these days. One of the main reasons why films, especially Hindi films are getting never seen before content is the entry of small town filmmakers and actors. The storytelling is one aspect which has become after the entry of small town screenwriters who have many more things to tell than just a romantic comedy. It is safe to say that the gaze of the cinema is changing and this change is brought by small towners who are making it big after going through a lot. Lets talk about some of the actors and filmmakers who come from a small town and how they are contributing towards the betterment of Indian cinema.

Pankaj Tripathi is an Indian actor who hails from a small village in Bihar. The actor has his own philosophies and is known to bring life to every character he plays. Varun Grover

Varun Grover is an Indian screenwriter and lyricist who is actively working in the Hindi film industry. He has written the critically and commercially hit movie, Masaan and has written some great songs including MohMohKeDhaage which won several awards. Varun is born and brought up in Varanasi and he spent most of his time in the town with his friends, which is the reason behind his incredible writing.

If we talk about mainstream Bollywood, it is not common to see a small town actor making big. Karthik Aryan, after struggling for almost a decade in Bollywood, has managed to carve his place in the heart of the audience. With his incredible performances and mind blowing comic timing, the actor from Gwalior has made his way into the mainstream Bollywood.
