Simple lifestyle and nutritional ways to minimize dark circles

In the times that we are living in, one is constantly under deadlines and work pressure. There is no time for eating or sleeping, a social life is beside the point. And the little that the people now eat under the present lifestyle is either unhealthy junk food or absolutely nothing. While we might not recognize the effects of these drastic lifestyle change immediately, but over time the changes will start to appear either internally or physically. One such side effect of change in lifestyle is dark circles, besides the breakouts and dullness on the face. So don’t you worry, just read on to find out what changes in your schedule and food habits will help you get rid of the dark circles.

Water First and foremost, drink ample water. Ditch the habit of reaching out for coffee and tea everything you lift your head from the computer. Instead, stretch your hand and pick up the water bottle. Since our body constitutes 70 percent of water, it is mandatory for one to drink at least eight to 10 glasses of water daily. Alternately, for a change in mood, you can also drink lemon water or tender coconut water. But drink water.

Exercise The idea of exercising is not always about being slim and six-packs but to keep the muscles and joints functional. Exercising our joints lighten the tension around the muscles and help in better circulation of blood throughout the body. Also do deep breathing exercises, like Pranayama to help counteract stress and also oxygenates the body, reducing dark circles.

Sunscreen This might seem like an unimportant task but studies and many doctors advise on applying the sunscreen right before stepping out in the sun. Remember to apply it generously under the eyes as the skin here is way more sensitive than the rest of the face.

Cleansing and moisturizing This is more like a beauty routine but can’t be missed. Use a cleanser to remove the make-up. When you come around the eyes, rub very light-textured creams or serums. After you wash your face, moisture the face as per your skin type but remember to definitely apply an under eye cream.

Nutritious food The importance of a balanced diet is very underrated. A balanced diet comprises fruits, salads, sprouts, yogurt, skimmed milk, paneer, lentils, green vegetables, egg, and fish. Also, addVitamins like A, C, K, and E; and iron in your diet as it will help minimize the dark circles.

Adequate eight hours of sleep is very important.
