Thinking In Hindsight: What Are The Worst Habits For Your Eyesight?

Change these habits to ensure you have good eyes!

Concerned if you can get a ten on ten for your eye vision? Unless you are taking good care of your eyes, chances of getting that score are pretty slim. Your eyes are a delicate part of your body and they need extra care. Your daily habits can impact your eyes greatly both in good and bad ways. Here are some of the worst habits that you could be cultivating that might be bad for eyes!

Not Reducing Your Screen Time

We are sure that you have been hearing this from your parents and doctors since you were a kid, but we are here to remind you again –too much of screen time can hurt your eyes. In fact, your doom scrolling or binge watching habits are what could greatly damage your eyes. You  could get blurred vision, dry eyes, eye strain from staring at the laptop, TV or phone screen for too long, especially if you are doing it in dull and dim lights!

Not Taking Your Contacts Off Before Going To Bed

No matter how tired you are or how late it is, sleeping with your contacts on is a greater crime than sleeping with your makeup on. It increases the chances of getting an eye infection, which could lead to permanent damage to your eyes as well. Moreover, remember to have your hands squeaky clean before you get your contacts out. There are no excuses for the otherwise!

Not Wearing Your Glasses Or Even Your Sunglasses

If you have been prescribed by your doctor to wear glasses, please do not stop yourself from doing it. It feels a little odd if you are new to wearing glasses and most people stop wearing them at this point, but you get adjusted to it. Not wearing your glasses or even your sunglasses could make you squint your eyes excessively and that could increase eye strain.

Using Eye Make Up That Are Expired Or Not Yours

If you are someone who does not mind sharing your eye makeup, you are doing it wrong! Eye makeup such as eye pencils, shadow and mascara or even eye creams are something that come in direct contact with your eyes and sharing them could often result in contacting infection from the others as well. Using expired eye makeup could equally cause damage to your eyes!
