Top Movies of Russo Brothers to Binge Watch (Part II)

They are mostly known as Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The Russo Brothers are the directors of a few of the highest-grossing films of the last decade by directing a few MCU movies. They are mostly known as Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, but alongside they have made a few other movies also out of MCU, the prime example is the recent Netflix movie The Grey Man starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. Continuing from the first part of the story, here are the names of some of the top movies directed by the Russo Brothers.

Welcome To Collinwood

Welcome to Collinwood is a 2002 movie much before the Russo Brothers joined the MCU and it’s one of their most popular and most critically acclaimed movies outside MCU.

Welcome to Collinwood was the Russo Brother’s second movie as a director after the underwhelming 1997 movie Pieces and the entire career of the Russo Brothers kind of depended on this movie. It was a comedy crime caper movie that featured William H. Macy, Isaiah Washington, and Sam Rockwell in pivotal roles. The movie tells the story of a few small-time thieves and misfits, who plan and try to carry out a major theft from a jeweller’s apartment safe but things get wary which results in many interesting situations. The movie was both a commercial and critical success and gave the Russo Brothers a new lease of life on their career.

Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is without a doubt not only one of the best MCU movies but one of the best movies made based on superheroes.

Avengers: Infinity War was the biggest movie ever, both in terms of an ensemble cast, budget, and commercial success. It for the first time featured almost all the superheroes of the MCU and it was the first part of the epic conclusion to the MCU’s ‘Infinity Saga’ – which began in 2008 with Jon Favreau’s Iron Man and phase 3 of MCU. The movie was great in every sense, be it the story, the action sequences, the cinematography, the performances, you name it and Infinity war is the best in every aspect of a great cinema. The movie had a cliff-hanging ending and made people wait for its sequel Avengers: Endgame with bated breath.

Avengers: Endgame

Avengers: Endgame for a few months was the highest-grossing movie ever but after the re-release of Avatar in China, it came to second place being the second most earning movie ever is not a small feat.

The conclusion of Infinity Saga ended with the epic movie Avengers: Endgame. The movie is set after five years of the events of Infinity War where half of the population of the whole universe is gone because of a snap by Thanos who wanted to balance the universe as according to him, resources are few and the population of the universe is quite big and the only way to balance it, is to make half of the population vanish from the universe so that the resources can be used accordingly.

In Endgame, the remaining Avengers try to undo the harm done by Thanos and this movie featured all the superheroes of the MCU including Captain Marvel, Hawk Eye, and Antman who were not there in the first part. It’s the second highest-grossing movie ever only after Avatar and that is also because Avatar re-released the movie in China to stay at the top position. Nevertheless, Endgame had some of the most epic scenes ever and will forever be remembered as a great movie that concluded the Infinity Saga of the MCU.
