Continuing from the first part of the story, here are a few more movies of Rajesh Khanna to binge-watch.

Ittefaq

Ittefaq was a suspense thriller movie directed by Yash Chopra and the whole story of the movie takes place over the span of 24 hours.

Ittefaq Directed by Yash Chopra was one of the few offbeat movies of Rajesh Khanna and its story was very different from other movies in his filmography. Ittefaq tells the story of a runaway fugitive Dilip who takes shelter in the house of Rekha (Nanda). The movie was devoid of any song but still, it was a success at the box office because of the quality content of the movie.Ittefaq was remade again in 2020 with Siddharth Malhotra, Sonakshi Sinha and Akshaye Khanna but it was not able to create magic of the original movie.

Avtaar

Rajesh Khanna’s career witnessed a slump in the late 70s and 80s with action movies being famous and Avtaar is one of his few movies that was a big hit during his down period.

Avtaar was released in 1983 and it featured Rajesh Khanna and ShabanaAzmi as the main leads. The movie shows the journey of the couple from their younger days to their older days when their children start neglecting them. Bawarchi

Hrishikesh Mukherjee gave Rajesh Khanna some of his best movies and Bawarchi is one of them. It’s a beautiful movie that gives the message of finding happiness in even the small things of life and living life lovingly.

Bawarchi is a typical Hrishikesh Mukherjee light-hearted movie that tells the story of the Sharma family which is going through some hardship whose life changes for good after the arrival of their cook Raghu played by Rajesh Khanna. The movie featured A.K Hangal, Asrani, Jaya Bhaduri, etc along with Rajesh Khanna. It gives the message that we should be able to find happiness even in the smallest things which we miss in the search for big happiness. The movie had one of the best performances by Rajesh Khanna who played the character of charming Raghu to the T.
