Top Streetfighter Motorcycles in India 2020

Motorcycles are segregated into various segments such as engine size, type and their price-tag. While sports motorcycle or cruisers are prominent, streetfighter motorcycles have a unique place in the mind of everyday folk for their functionality. This type of motorcycle is excellent for regular commuting, marginal off-roading, and occasional highway tours. They tick all the correct boxes and strike an excellent balance across genres like sport, ADV and cruising.

In this article, let’s talk about some of the most popular streetfighter motorcycles under a price category of INR 2 lakh in India.

KTM Duke 200

The Austrian orange hooligan is recognized for its agility and intense expressions. It is appropriate to suggest that the Duke 200 is the most popular motorcycle in this list as the sales figures of this motorcycle is on fire since its inception. With a 199cc engine, the Duke generates 24hp of power and 19Nm of torque with a top speed of approx. 138kmph. For safety, it is equipped with a dual-channel ABS and DRLs. The motorcycle is available at INR 1.77 lakh.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 200

The Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 is an off-spring of the Duke 200. WhenDuke 200 was introduced, Bajaj thought it is best to bring out a streetfighter of its own. The NS 200 is like the Duke in terms of power delivery. However, it does boast of a better high-end speed and a lesser price-tag of INR 1.31 lakh. The reduction in price-tag is because of the use of fewer premium parts as opposed to the Duke 200.

Yamaha MT-15

After the success of the R15 and realising people’s infatuation for street motorcycles, Yamaha introduced the MT-15, which is a streetfighter version of the R15. There’s no doubt that the crop from Yamaha is splendid, but it may not be a favourable buying preference. Considering its price-tag of INR 1.41 lakh, the NS offers a stronger engine and higher power at lower value, whereas with an investment of INR 30,000 more, the Duke 200 is a wiser choice. The sole power-play for Yamaha is the build quality and looks of the MT-15.

TVS Apache RTR 200 4V

Since they collaborated with BMW, TVS has been on a roll. The Apache 200 at INR 1.28 lakh may be slightly underpowered compared to the 200cc Duke and NS. However, the build-quality is on-spot along with several electronic components such a super-moto ABS, turn-by-turn navigation system, smartphone connectivity and glide through traffic technology.
