TV shows that have the best theme songs

Some intros are so good that we cannot hit the “skip intro button”.

TV shows are getting innovative with their theme songs or opening credits. While some intros we are used to skipping, there are a select few that are so good that you will remember them for life.

We have compiled a list of our favourite intro songs.

  1. Game of Thrones
Undoubtedly, the top on our list is HBO’s Game of Thrones opening sequence. The song has been so set in our ears and minds that even a two-second glimpse of the tune will instantly make us recognize the show.
  1. F.R.I.E.N.D.S
Written by The Rembrandts, the opening sequence of F.R.I.E.N.D.S is ‘I’ll Be There For You’. The song reminds us that the show will always be there for us when we want to watch a light fun-filled comedy.
  1. Money Heist
No matter how eager you are to see the entire gang at work on the Professor’s orders, you can’t miss the show’s intro song, ‘My Life Will Go On’, by Cecilia Krull.
  1. Bojack Horseman
The opening credits of the famous animated show is fixed on the Horseman’s blank stare, while the background changes showing a day in the life of a sad horse or man. It ends with Bojack lying on the pool at his Cliffside mansion and leaves us with a smile.
  1. Stranger Things
The shortest and simplest, the opening sequence of Stranger Things reminds of everything about the 80s and Stephen King books. They have definitely delivered on their goal of nostalgia and science fiction.
  1. Westworld
The opening song of Westworld is powerful and captivating. It shows how unnecessary humans have become with their stylish montage of how the robots and the park are constructed.
  1. Peaky Blinders
From the moment the opening sequence of the show starts, you will instantly be set in the mood for gang wars and violence. The song is ‘Red Right Hand’ by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.
  1. Big Bang Theory
Even though we remember only one line, ‘it all started with a bang’, we still can’t miss the intro composed by Barenaked Ladies. The catchy tune is the cherry on the cake to wait and watch the entire gang seated on the couch at the end.

Which of the above intros do you prefer? Or do you like all of them?
