Amongst a plethora of coffee makers, the Drip coffee machine seems to have a ubiquitous presence at homes and offices. It is easy to use, gives a consistent coffee taste, and is reasonably inexpensive too. They are versatile in the sense of quantity too. You can even brew a single cup or 10-15 cups at a time. What’s not to like about it?

Espresso Machine- Cafe’s bestie

Given the popularity of cafes and coffee shops across the world, expresso machines are the most used at such places for great-tasting and standardised coffee. These use high pressure of hot water through a fine grind of roasted coffee beans which brings out a concentrated flavour quickly. It is usually a smaller quantity than the drip and is served in a small cup.

French Press- Home Brewer’s favourite

French Press is one of the favourites among the homebrewers community. It is extremely easy to use and gives a flavourful, full-bodied cuppa, once you follow the steps properly. It takes merely 10 minutes from boiling (almost) water, steeping the grounds, and putting the plunged coffee in your cup!

AeroPress- Quickest of them all

This one works in a similar way as a french press but quicker. It uses air pressure to force out hot water to produce up to three cups of concentrated coffee. Agreed, it looks like a huge syringe, but Aeropress is the quickest (1-3 min) that can give you consistently great coffee every time. It has become sort of a cult within the traveller community since it’s light, easily cleaned, and good for 1-3 cups of coffee at a time.

Cold brew coffee maker- The Summer essential

Usually, a traditional iced coffee is made by pouring an already brewed hot coffee over ice but the cold brew maker doesn’t use any heat. You just have to steep the coffee ground in a filter in cold water overnight and dispense it in another container to serve! The absence of heat creates a full-bodied coffee. The best part? It can be made in large quantities and stored for up to 15 days in the refrigerator.

There are so many other types of equipment like Moka pot, Pour-over brewer, Nespresso, K-cup, Chemex, and more, to make a great cup of coffee apart from the above mentioned. Do your research according to your requirements, and then buy a good quality gadget.
