Types Of Teas In India

Tea is an aromatic beverage, commonly used in India. Whether it is morning or afternoon, tea is used for every type of purpose. It is used in the morning to start your day and in the evening, the family gets together to enjoy a cup of tea.

There is a wide variety of tea and different types of tea serve different purposes. Some help to keep you warm in winters, some put you to sleep at night, some provide relief to the stomach, some help in losing weight and so on. India is the second top largest exporter of tea and one of the top tea consuming countries. There are 16 major tea-producing provinces in India in which Assam and West Bengal are on the top.

Darjeeling Tea

It is a well known tea that is consumed by the people in India. In Darjeeling tea, there is a different aroma and taste. It includes many varieties such as oolong, black and white. It also prevents gastric ulcers and helps in losing weight too.

Kashmiri Kahwa

It is a famous hot beverage of Kashmir which is also consumed by different parts of the world. This tea is mainly consumed in winters to keep the body warm. The ingredients which are used to  prepare this tea are saffron, cardamom, cinnamon, dried rose petals, almonds, pistachios and can be topped with honey.

Noon Chai

Noon chai is another purely originated tea in the valley of Kashmir. It is also known as pink tea or sheer chai. This tea is popular for its different pink colour. It is prepared by brewing green tea leaves with cinnamon, cardamom and baking soda to achieve a pink colour then adding milk and salt to it. This tea looks too exotic and nice.

Lemon Tea

Lemon tea is consumed in winters as well as in summers. It is prepared by boiling ginger, honey and lemon into the water and it helps in soar throat if you add a few cloves to it. It has a soothing smell and taste.

Green Tea

Green tea is an excellent source of powerful antioxidants which reduces the risk of some cancers. It may also improve brain function and mainly it is known for fat burning supplement. Green tea is a great source in the journey of weight loss of people. This tea also has some oral health benefits.

Drinking tea may improve your health as it has antioxidants and contains less caffeine than coffee. Tea is widely accepted in every corner of India and it may also keep your smile bright and mood light.
