I hate Mondays: Scientific reasons why Mondays are the worst.

Mondays are the worst! Now even science says so.

Let’s accept it; we all face Monday morning blues. The thought of going back to work even darkens our Sunday evening. And Monday mornings are the worst, the thought of all the pending work waiting for you when you to do, all the emails that need to be answered. You can’t help but whine about Mondays. You are tired from the morning, and you just want the day to end. The clock seems to move slow on a Monday (according to you). But as the week progresses the things get better. So, what is it about Mondays? Here are some of the reasons science presents to us why we hate Mondays.

Man is a social animal.

One of the strange yet interesting observations by science is that even after millions of years of evolution, men still have some caveman tendencies. Man, always want to secure their “place “in the world, which is essentially their workspace. And the best way to do so is by socializing and conversing with peers and colleagues. So, when we don’t gossip or communicate for two days, you might feel out of place, and that explains our bad mood on a Monday morning.

The change.

Studies prove that Mondays are no different than any other day of the week. The stress, the work pressure, honestly, there is nothing that says that Mondays have something more that makes them worse than other days of the week. Science points out that it is our mind that plays tricks like that. After two days of relaxation, when you encounter stress and workload, it makes you hate the day,i.e. Monday.

The sleep

Thehuman body is a slave of our sleep and sleep pattern. Don’t believe us, then try to work after a sleepless night, you won’t be able to concentrate, and you would be irrigatable. We often miss the full rested night sleep during the week, thanks to our hectic work schedules. So, we often make up for that sleep during the weekends. But the extra sleep doesn’t relax us; rather it throws our sleep pattern to the bin. Your body is confused and asks for more sleep on a Monday morning, and as a result you are tired and cranky.

Or you might hate your job and think of facing the stress and work is draining you. So, don’t blame Monday for that, just go out and fix your problem.
