Grooming hacks every man should know

There is no man who does not want to look good. But most of us are limited by time and energy to look the best. Don’t worry, we have compiled some grooming tips that will enhance your looks and make you shine.

Use Vaseline to extend scent’s duration

When you spray a scent directly onto the skin, it loses fragrance after a couple of hours. Instead, apply Vaseline onto the area of skin and then spray on it to make the fragrance linger for a lot longer. Vaseline is occlusive which makes it hold on the fragrance closer and longer on the skin.

Shave right after a shower

It’s intuitive to do things like shaving, flossing, brushing before the relaxing hot shower when you are in the middle of the frantic morning schedule. But pend the shaving after the shower. Right after a hot shower, your face is exfoliated and the bristles are softened. This gives you the closest and smoothest shave and reduces the chance of any nasty cuts.

Use olive oil instead of cotton buds to clean ears

This may sound gross but works perfectly. Cotton buds are commercialized well but are not made to take care of your ear well. Alternatively, heat a few drops of olive oil and put them in the ear using a dropper. You may aid the process by tilting the head in the right direction and a few drops of warm water to dislodge the ear way out.

Use ice to beat puffiness

We all face puffiness in the face from time to time. Though this is natural, it might give a wrong impression to people associated with laziness, hangover, etc. All you need is a bagful of frozen peas or ice and placing it on the face for a few minutes for an effective anti-inflammatory treatment.

 Tweeze out rogue facial hair

Stubble may be a trend nowadays, but no one appreciates three-inch of hair protruding out of your nose. Use a trimmer or a nail clipper to trim down such rogue facial hair, be it the ear, nose, or other facial areas.

Using hair conditioner instead of shaving cream

In the colder weather, you may want to replace your standard shaving cream with a hair conditioner. Unlike shaving cream, hair conditioner moisturizes the facial skin effectively rather than taking away the natural facial oil.

Cooled tea bags to counter sunburn

The best is to avoid sunburn but in case you get one, put on cold tea bags on your face. Tea contains tannic acid that helps the burn to cool and eventually subside.
