Simple Travel Activities To Keep Your Child Entertained On Planes

While flying with kids, the most critical aspect is to strategize and pack for the flight accordingly to avoid the hazard of an uneventful trip.

We are all aware of how energetic kids are in general — and that makes being in a confined, small space a bit tough for them. Flying unprepared with kids can result in an exhausting experience for the child, you, and your co-passengers. File away these simple travel activities to keep your kids engaged and entertained on planes.

Get a deck of cards

A deck of cards like Uno can offer hours of entertainment. Play the standard kid’s version, or simply sort the cards by colour and arrange them in numerical order. Besides, there will be no better time than this for playing 30 consecutive games with your kid.

Bring a colouring book and some crayons.

Bring a notebook and some crayons, and when your little one becomes restless, give them the notebook and ask them to become the in-flight Picasso. For mess-free painting on the plane, colouring books and crayons are the best — but keep a close watch on them to make sure the plane itself isn’t turning into a masterpiece.

Download audiobooks

Kids love listening to music, so download their favourite songs before your journey. Try to get them involved from the start to ensure they are hyped about the song selection. Audiobooks are a great option too. Playing their favourite songs on repeat can keep them happily entertained. But do not forget to pack headphones.

Give them a camera

Buying your kids a battery-operated camera will not just keep your kids occupied. At the same time, they will learn to see the world through their eyes. While flying, it will help them remain seated next to the window. But remind them to not take photos of co-passengers without their permission.

Bring Play-Doh

A tiny tub of Play-Doh can become a children’s staple on flights. You can divide the Play-Doh among multiple children, and it does not create much mess. You can play different types of games with it, and it will keep your child’s little hands busy.

If you simply dislike the idea of keeping your kids occupied with a tablet, employing these simple and fun tricks will help you turn your next flight journey into a genuine quality time between your little ones and you.
